NGOMA Scotland invites you to our on-line event to fundraise for our Glasgow venue, which is in danger of closing while under local COVID Lockdown.
We have trained at Garnethill Multicultural Centre for several years, hosted many charity rodas and several workshops there. Garnethill gained some financial independence at the end of 2019 and were autonomously running their space , events and weekly sessions for several sectors of the local community. The staff have been exceptional and unfortunately some have lost their jobs during the Pandemic lockdown.
Entry by donation to the Garnethill fundraiser page.
You can donate by session, day or whole event its up to you. We would like to suggest £5-10 per session and £15-30 per day, but its up to you. Every little helps and we want to see your lovely faces.

Special guest from Mão no Chao Austrailia/Brisbane – Madiera. She trained with us in Scotland under our teacher Dion for many wonderful years and we are very happy to train with her again.
All movement and music sessions will be suitable for those with an open mind.
The movement and music sessions will build on what the teachers have been doing recently on-line, if you have an instrument (preferably a berimbau) have it handy for the music session but its not essential.
For the bate-papo we’ll select a bunch of interesting Capoeira games and do a running commentary/post roda analysis on them. While we can’t gather together to play Capoeira due to the UK COVID Lockdown, we can get geeky about it
There will be one Zoom event per day (running aprox 9am – 1pm) and we will stick to start times as closely as possible.
If you join a movement or music session during the event you will be admitted by admin when the next session is starting.
Message us for Zoom Link Please
